W.M.D (just the low points) 2007-2008-2009 Is a new work that launches a large-scale deconstruction of our culture's pre-occupations. Structured around a the events of single day, januari 8th, 2004, W.M.D (just the low points) uses found-texts to investigate America's relationship with its media during wartime. The unanimous opinion of New York theatre insiders who saw the workshop performances agree that -- "W.M.D. (just the low points)" -- is one of the most dynamic and exciting new works to come down the pike in years. Created by the Company 'Sponsored By Nobody' Directed by Kevin Doyle Work-in-progress Episode I: SPONSORED BY NOBODY was a co-recipient of the 2007 chashama/NEA Performance Development Award for their current work-in-progress "W.M.D. (just the low points)". Workshop performances at the Chashama Theater (NYC) ran from June 7-10, 2007 with generous support from both chashama and the National Endowment for the Arts. A special encore performance of "W.M.D. (just the low points)" was presented in July 2007 at The Ontological-Hysteric INCUBATOR (NYC). Episode II: Jessa Wildemeersch received an International Grant (2008) from the Flemish Community in order to develop further work on W.M.D (just the low points) with 'Sponsored By Nobody' in New York. W.M.D (just the low points) will be further developed and premiere in Belgium in January and February of 2009. More specific information about these performances will follow.
